About Us
Susan and Adriane is a mother, daughter team. Adriane grew up around fine jewelry learning the facts about jewelry and sales techniques. Adriane always was fascinated with all the beautiful gemstones and had a million questions about them. With this passion she decided to attend Gemological Institute of America in Manhattan, NY to get these questions answered. Adriane worked very hard to obtain four degrees in jewelry.
In 2004 Adriane graduated from GIA with her Graduated Diamond Degree, Colored Stones Degree, Accredited Jewelry Professional Degree, and her Graduated Gemologist Degree.
Adriane has experience working in the large diamond industry of Manhattan, NY for two years before deciding that she really wanted to make a difference in marketing jewelry in a whole new way. She calls it the Modern Way of Buying Jewelry she wanted to work with her clients on a more personal level by giving each person individualize attention by appointment, offering her client the First Class Treatment with refreshments and snacks, and for those who experience this would be grateful for the personal touch. Adriane enjoys educating her clients on jewelry, after all it is her passion and wants everyone to share it with her.
Susan learned about fine jewelry in 1991 when she started working for a jewelry retailer part time. She too fell in love with the beauty of jewelry and experience the joy that it brings to people when they purchased it.
In 1995 Susan decided to start a home show business by bringing fine jewelry to people in their homes. Marketing the jewelry show as women's night out, shopping at home and enjoy the company of your friends and family. In 2007, Susan received her Diamond Essentials Diploma.
While Adriane was on her way to her new adventure as a Gemologist, Susan was still having home shows. In 2006 Adriane approach Susan trying to convince her to open a full scale jewelry business together. They both agreed that it had to be an unusual approach to marketing jewelry on a more personal level. Susan felt that they needed to bring back the old tradition of knowing your customers and spending the time with each individual, which you don't see today. Adriane calls it the modern way approach to business, and they both agreed to call it the untraditional way of marketing jewelry.
On March 26, 2007 First Class Jewelry was born, and Susan and Adriane are both applying their education and experiences to build this business to be both untraditional and successful. They both enjoy meeting new clients each day.
